Ministry Information
Located in the city of Hyderabad, India, this particular slum came to the attention of a long-term missionary to India in 2005, and a lot of hard work and God's blessing has caused this project to flourish and grow rapidly. Currently there is an infant care center, preschool and elementary school with books, toys, and a simple playground which offer all kinds of new experiences to the children. Skin diseases which are common are treated, children are given uniforms, clothing and shoes, nutritious meals are provided, and the vivacious and energetic personalities of these beautiful children are released!

How can YOU be involved?
Volunteers from every walk of life are welcome to invest your skills
and talents in this new ministry. From something as simple as holding
the babies in the baby care center or doing puzzles with the preschool
children to things requiring the skills of a doctor, nurse or engineer,
there is something you have to offer to the families of this slum in
Hyderabad. |
Needs
New
construction of school buildings continues, and the help of a skilled
engineer would be of great help. A bakery is ready to be constructed,
so someone with knowledge of building a brick oven would be a
tremendous asset. Volunteers who love children can come to the ministry
anytime. We would love to have someone train our staff how to teach
music to the children. Any type of crafts can be taught, English
language skills through simple things like reading. |

How to Help
from Home
One
particular need is someone to help organize and pack donations to ship
over for use in the school - everything from clothes, shoes, toys,
books, keyboards, guitars, bicycles - the list of possibilities is
endless! Donations need to be sorted so only high quality, size and age
appropriate items are shipped. If you are someone who has a heart for
India but you cannot travel at this time, consider lending your hands
and talents to organizing a container! |
