This was the first YWAM base established in 1973. Has always been a
pioneer base. Today it is a growing base which focus on training,
mission outreach and mercy ministries.
Ministry
To encourage local churches and partner with the local Christians to
be able to train young people in discipleship, bible knowledge, and
missions.
The base arranges children and youth camps annually as well as
2 DTS per year,
SBSCC, SBS, SBCW, SST
Help needed
To maintain,
remodel, and increase the facilities, Kitchen, gardening,
mechanic, hospitality, painting, landscaping, upholstering. Help on
homemaking projects, flower gardening, occasional personal pastoral
needs.
to train and encourage more
people to follow the Lord. To help the base continue to focus on
local churches, and partner with them in children/youth programs and
church weekends on the base.
Nearest Airport
Arriving from
Tronheim Airport-take public transportation to train/bus depot then
bus to Orkanger.
Arriving from Oslo,
Take train to Tronheim (Approx. 6 ½ hours) bus to Orkanger. Base
will pickup at Orkanger.

Room and Board
Mostly individual rooms
that singles will share or for couples/families. Some dorms for
single males.
$5.50 US per day for meals. May be negotiable No charge for
lodging.
Time
2 weeks to 3 months
Accommodate
Up to 12 couples or combination of couples and single females
and single males, plus singles in the dorm. Yes
Older couples will
appreciate the housing. There are, however stairs to climb in
buildings and on base.
Families Welcome
Projects
Build a boardwalk, roof, rock wall, gravel landscaping (associated
with 5 new connected structures) general base maintenance, raise a
modular house, remove/replace rotting part of this structure, reseal
and reset on foundation.
