YWAM Ozarks was pioneered in November 2003, and its present location atop Manitou Mountain was acquired in September 2005. It is located on 44 acres 968 feet above sea level with a view of the Arkansas River Valley. It is nestled between the Boston Mountains, to the north, and the Ouachita Mountains, to the south. This beautiful plateau location in a small town setting provides a secluded atmosphere, where young people can come away from the normal distractions of life to reflect on their lives and focus intensely on their relationship with God, while still providing relatively easy access to regional service opportunities.
