Greg and Jan Griffin
Greg and Jan Griffin have been field staff with Mission Builders since 2007. After living and serving in South Africa, they returned to the States to live in Kalispell, MT, not far from the MBI office. They have three children: Matthew, Natalie, and Heidi.
Before joining YWAM, Greg was a PMI (Project Management Institute)-certified Project Management Professional consulting in the Silicon Valley. This was after starting his own custom home construction company and spending time working with camping ministries. After working in a wide variety of industries (residential construction, DotCom, Bio Technology), Greg and Jan both felt a call into missions. God was making it clear they had completed their pre-missions training in the corporate world and now had some unique tools, skills, and experience to bring into missions.
Since joining as field staff, Greg designed MBI’s new staff-housing apartments, developed a website called HopeVault.org to help fund projects around the world, created new technologies for growing food, designed and built a retractable suspension bridge. He has also been teaching in DTS and SOAP (School of Apostolic Pioneering) schools around the world. In addition, Greg loves to teach on the YWAM DNA and Core Values through retreats or seminars for YWAM bases. His goal is to help make frontline missions more effective.
Before joining YWAM, Jan spent many summers in far-northern California as an assistant camp director. While there, she grew in her love for connecting and mentoring young women (college age counselors working at the camp). Jan has been an active mom by homeschooling their kids until they reached high school. She now spends time working with the local church youth groups, is helping to start a new valley-wide college ministry, and makes herself available to build relationship with young women from the YWAM Lakeside facility and in the local community. She is often referred to as a “universal friend”.
