About Our Area
This unique location is creatively designed and situated in a rural area. It originated during the Hippie movement, and the facilities reflect some of their independent, free thinking attitudes. The area is located close to the beautiful California coast on the famous Highway 101. Visitors are near to the ocean, have ready access to the giant redwoods, and could make a day trip to San Francisco or weekend at Yosemite National Park.

The complex is between Mendocino and Albion and served by the Albion post office. The community of Albion began as a sawmill operation while under the control of Mexico and has seen many changes through the years. Mendocino was a logging community, which has become popular as an artists' haven and vacation destination.

The location is on the California coast, about 250 miles north of San Francisco, so the temperatures are cool with summer highs in the 60s and winter lows in the 40s. Expect rain and fog in addition to sunshine. Tourist attractions include ocean, hiking, wine tasting, and sightseeing in nearby towns.

For more information on surrounding attractions near Mendocino please visit: www.mendocino.com/activities.html

Minimum Stay: 2 weeks Maximum Stay: 3 months
Ministry Description
Holmsted Manor is a mission-focused community, passionate about Jesus and about participating in God’s transformation of the world. A place to find belonging, we are committed to cultivating space for individuals to deepen their relationship with God and become more who they were created to be. Our goal is to see hope flourish as we serve together in our local, national and international communities.

In a beautiful 17-acre location in the West Sussex countryside, YWAM Holmsted Manor is strategically located not far from London, between the creative city of Brighton, and the multicultural town of Crawley, key locations where we do regular urban outreach. Living at Holmsted Manor means we often go out to get involved in other things. Nestled in a community of small villages, we actively look to partner with local churches, ministries and other community groups to make a difference in our immediate area. Currently, we have staff working in a local food bank, volunteering with ministries working with the vulnerable and singing in a local community choir.

Our staff also get involved in local churches with some of our staff team leading youth work, mission and outreach and preaching and speaking. We love to invite our local community to join us for some of our activities and there are at least one, and often two, community type activities every month – from barbeques to open mics.

We are looking for volunteers to join us to serve in a variety of tasks, people who are willing to work hard, have fun, and be part of our community in agreement with our values. You’re probably not an expert, but you’re ready to help out in any area (painting walls, chopping vegetables, cutting the grass, cleaning toilets, making beds, sewing, and much more). You will serve in various parts of the base with numerous opportunities to interact with our YWAMers and trainees at meal times, work and community events.

You don't have to have completed a DTS, or have any YWAM experience, but be willing to come and serve for a couple of months. You may want to improve your English before you do a DTS by being in a community of believers who speak English.

We want you to feel part of our YWAM family so we encourage our volunteers to participate in base gatherings and events such as worship, prayer and socials.  Please come with an open heart and a willingness to serve in whatever capacity needed.

Holmsted Manor is just an hour from London, 30 minutes from Gatwick international airport, 25 minutes from the seaside resort of Brighton and 15 minutes from the nearest railway station at Haywards Heath.

Upon acceptance we will send you the detailed information for you to plan your travel, however, please DO NOT book plane tickets until you have heard from us about your acceptance.

About Our Area
Just a short walk from the Manor, you can catch a bus to Crawley or Haywards Heath Station and then a 45 minute train ride takes you straight into London Victoria. From there you can catch the underground trains or the famous double-decker buses to just about anywhere you could wish to go. London has a huge variety of things to do and see.

We are about 30 minutes away from the city of Brighton and Hove, an artsy, quirky city along the southern coast of England. Brighton is most definitely a place to visit during your stay in the UK.

Ministry Description
Believing God for One Nation in One Generation – YWAM Battambang, Cambodia University of the Nations Battambang is a ministry of YWAM Global and was started by a team of young people in January 2006. Our vision: Equipping and empowering to bring transformation to communities in Cambodia, Southeast Asia and to the ends of the earth.

Our heart is that we would be a platform for the indigenous people to rise up and influence all spheres of society in their nation with the love of Jesus. Our vision is not only for Cambodia, but also that we would be a training center for the surrounding region which includes four of the remaining Communist (closed) nations (Vietnam, Laos, China and Myanmar).

We are working to see God's kingdom built in Cambodia. He has exploded the YWAM base from a handful of young volunteer missionaries into a vibrant and growing ministry that touches thousands of lives every day in the second largest city in the nation. We focus on discipleship, evangelism, and mercy ministry at our various ministry locations. Redemption, restoration, and revival are very much on God's heart for this nation.

We believe God's word to us that He will finish the good work He has started here in this nation. A snapshot of the ministry areas we are involved in include:
  • King’s Kids (a project to children at risk)
  • Jeevit’s House (reaching families with HIV/AIDS)
  • Youth Development Centre
  • Café Eden (a thriving business-as-missions)
  • Fitness BTB (a functional fitness gym)
  • Cornerstone Learning Center (an international elementary school)
Training schools include; Discipleship Training School, School of Ministry Development, Word By Heart, School of Biblical Studies, Titus Project, DTS Equip Work Project.

YWAM/UofN Battambang, Cambodia since purchasing property has greatly expanded their facilities and is continuing construction. Keep in touch with us about upcoming construction projects and schedules. We have many other service needs that volunteers may help with as well!

About Our Area
From 1975-1979 the Khmer Rouge committed a mass genocide of their own people killing an estimated 2-3 million people and nearly destroying a nation. The impact of this horrific civil war still impacts this nation today. But God is in the business of restoration and that is exactly what He is doing in Cambodia in this generation.

Approximately 80% of the Cambodian population is under the age of 30 and 42% are under 15 years old, so much of our ministry is with young adults, youth, and children. The people of Cambodia are deeply searching for truth and are not much different from you and me.

Ministry Description
YWAM Hurlach (Bavaria) was established in 1972. At that time, the Castle of Hurlach was purchased by YWAM International as a base for the evangelistic outreaches during the Olympic Games in Munich. Since then, YWAM Hurlach has been the birthing place of many ministries and other campuses.

The Castle continues to be used as a training center and a base for evangelistic outreaches to Germany and the world. We offer a variety of training courses and ministries, which a person can either participate in as an individual or as part of a team to their own home town.

Transforming Germany; reaching the nations!

Out of an intimate relationship to God, nationally and internationally and together with other Christians, we aim to:
  • train, disciple, and release a generation of world-changers
  • support and serve the body of Christ
  • reach the unreached with the gospel of the kingdom of God
We do this by:
  • living together as a Christian community, singles and families, all generations, in accountability as a model of the kingdom of God
  • training, discipling, and equipping through schools, seminars, and mentoring
  • sending ministry teams out to churches as well as running seminars and bringing leaders together in unity, promoting prayer and intercession
  • conducting evangelistic outreaches and mercy ministries locally, nationally, and internationally

At YWAM Newcastle this looks like running Discipleship Training Schools and further biblical training on a quarterly basis. Students are trained and equipped with tools to grow their relationship with God and others, as well as discovering what missions could look like in the areas God has called them to individually.

We reach out to our city through our Youth Street program and Rahab ministry and our students regularly participate in street evangelism. Through the work of YWAM Ships Newcastle, we are able to deliver vital medical resources and training to the isolated regions of Papua New Guinea.

YWAM Tahlee is an Australian oasis where lovers of Jesus from far-and-wide come to get renewed. Our setting looks like something you’d read about in an Australian adventure novel. The mythic Australian bush surrounds it with its spreading branches, draping vines, and collection of peculiar (but friendly) animals. We’re also right on the water’s edge, our jetty juts out into the glorious Port Stephens, the body of water home to some of the country’s most picturesque holiday destinations. We are primed for cultivating a life of adventure.

For us to be effective in our ministry we need quality facilities for our staff, students and guests to live in and training rooms for our courses to take place. We need food on the table and water in the taps. We need qualified mariners and IT geniuses. So much goes into the running of our campus! We are thankful for our many staff and volunteers who serve faithfully behind the scenes so that others can be sent into the nations with the Good News.
Needs
There’s always something happening around our campuses and you’re welcome to jump in and help out at any time. We are often looking for people with the following skills: marine, medical, photography/videography, IT, hospitality/food services, landscaping/gardening, general maintenance.

Regardless of your skillset, we’d love to have you. Come and experience a different side of global missions and partner with us as we do our part to see the Great Commission fulfilled. Whether it’s an existing project or one you’d like to see happen, get in touch with us today to find out where you can serve.

Minimum Stay: 1 day Maximum Stay: 3 months
Ministry Description
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are currently limited in the number of volunteers that we can host. We are not hosting daily or weekly volunteers at this time. Long-term volunteers must be willing to commit to staying a minimum of 4 weeks with the 1st week being self-quarantined in our housing. Because of the limited numbers of volunteers, we are focusing on soup production.

Volunteers are asked to pray about the amount that God wants them to give to cover their stay.

In the summer, we dry peaches and nectarines in the sun. Fruit grown by local farmers which has been culled as not marketable is donated to Gleanings. Processing the fruit is a labor-intensive task that requires the combined efforts of many volunteers. We do this during the summer when the warm San Joaquin Valley, California sunshine can best dry the fruit. We call the summer months our peach season.

Throughout the remainder of the year, we produce a nutritious, and tasty dried soup mix from bulk dehydrated vegetables blended with spices, legumes, and grain products. Most ingredients are donated and volunteers process them to be used either in the soup mix production or to be distributed as a single product in smaller family-sized packages. We also operate a quilt room where we hand-craft beautiful quilts. Quilts are another tangible representation of God’s love. Many of the quilts produced have gone directly to Holocaust survivors in Israel, but as quilt production continues other ministries like orphanages are also receiving these beautiful gifts. Because the soup mix production is our primary focus, the rest of the year that is not summer, we call our soup season.
Needs
We have a variety of opportunities for people of many ages to serve. We need people to help us with our dried soup production and process fresh fruit processing in the summer (age restriction of 13 years or older). We also have a quilt room and we have people help with that production in the fall, winter and spring. We also have a woodworking shop so we need help repairing and building trays to dry the fruit on. We also have a need for people to work in the office.

Special Projects:
Let us know of your skill set as we often launch special projects such as construction, fabrication, concrete work, etc. when we have the right people for those jobs.

About Our Area
Gleanings for the Hungry (YWAM)  is located on 21 acres in the San Joaquin Valley of Central California. The majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains border the eastern edge of the valley and are home to the giant Sequoia trees. Volunteers enjoy the short trip to the Sequoia National Park to see these awe-inspiring trees. Two other national parks, Yosemite and Kings Canyon, are within 2 hours drive and are popular for day visits.

Although the Gleanings campus is nestled among acres of orchards, there are several towns and cities nearby. Fresno (pop: 528,000) is 40 miles to the northwest, Visalia (pop: 133,000) is 20 miles to the south, and Dinuba (pop: 25, 000) is four miles to the west.

Ministry Description
Making disciples of all nations is the heartbeat of YWAM Tyler. Since its establishment in 1980, YWAM Tyler has grown from a handful of people to approximately 250 full-time workers, training hundreds of students annually on our nearly-500-acre ranch facility. The ministry is involved in training, evangelism, discipleship, medical and relief work, construction, teaching, and the development of new avenues of ministry. Long-term ministry centers have been pioneered and established in other nations such as India, Haiti, Romania and Mongolia (as well as some restricted Muslim nations).

Mission building at YWAM Tyler gives you the opportunity to come and serve alongside full-time missionaries and be exposed to the fullness of God’s purposes for your life. What's needed most - skilled tradesmen and tradeswomen who can help with building projects, renovations and repairs on this large campus. There are seasonal needs for kitchen helpers, grounds, landscaping and the like. An increase in YWAM Tyler’s workforce over the past several years has created a critical need for campus housing. We have completed the first phase of a project to build duplexes for families and singles and we have started the second. We need help! Most mission builders volunteer for 2-4 weeks, although long-term opportunities may be worked out with YWAM Tyler.
