Ministry Description
YWAM Northwoods is unique, as our passion is to do missions from a heart of worship. We focus on those who have never heard the name of Jesus. We strive to imitate the heroes in the book of Acts, who planted the first churches in the hardest and darkest places.

It stirs our hearts to know we are laying foundations that generations will build upon for decades to come. We champion young people and foster families to lead lives of excellence within a trusting community. We intentionally disciple and evangelize locally to practice the very thing we then take to the nations.

We believe the gospel of Jesus Christ cannot be encapsulated and kept secret for exclusive groups. At YWAM Northwoods, our aim is to take the gospel “from the wilderness to the world.” We offer an original Discipleship Training School (DTS), Crossroads DTS (CDTS), School of Biblical Foundations (SBF), Musician’s Summer of Service and Infusion.

Come and serve 1 to 3 months of your time!

About Our Area
This unique location is creatively designed and situated in a rural area. It originated during the Hippie movement, and the facilities reflect some of their independent, free thinking attitudes. The area is located close to the beautiful California coast on the famous Highway 101. Visitors are near to the ocean, have ready access to the giant redwoods, and could make a day trip to San Francisco or weekend at Yosemite National Park.

The complex is between Mendocino and Albion and served by the Albion post office. The community of Albion began as a sawmill operation while under the control of Mexico and has seen many changes through the years. Mendocino was a logging community, which has become popular as an artists' haven and vacation destination.

The location is on the California coast, about 250 miles north of San Francisco, so the temperatures are cool with summer highs in the 60s and winter lows in the 40s. Expect rain and fog in addition to sunshine. Tourist attractions include ocean, hiking, wine tasting, and sightseeing in nearby towns.

Ministry Description
Our story begins with the passion we have in our hearts for Jesus and that He might be worshiped among the nations. Each generation has the responsibility and the privilege of responding to Christ’s Great Commission to “GO” and bring the gospel to the nations in their generation.

In 2006 a team of 6 was sent out from YWAM Pittsburgh with prayers and affirmation to begin a new work in Boston. It was an exciting challenge to plant a missionary outreach and training center in this city. Since then, the team has grown to 24 staff and now has a multi-focused ministry to the people of Boston, New England, and to the nations.

It has been so inspiring to meet pastors and leaders here in Boston who have been diligently working to further the kingdom here. We have established some wonderful relationships with strategic churches and believers. We have ministered in youth groups, church services, and Christian school assemblies. Weekly outreaches using “prayer stations”, worship music, and free coffee on the city streets have been very successful, with hundreds hearing about Jesus Christ, many for the first time.

From its founding in 1630, Boston has been a city of historic significance. The founding fathers laid the foundations for this city to be a beacon for His glory, with a sense of destiny that believers here would influence our nation as well as all the nations. Today, Boston is one of the most significant and strategic cities in the world. With its 100+ colleges and universities, Boston is a place where the world gathers. 250,000 university students (44,000 of which are international) are drawn to our institutions of higher learning. The very people we are called to go and reach have come to us.

Pneuma Springs is a place of intercession for the nations of the world. We believe that all missions begins and ends with prayer and that God indeed answers the prayers of His people to transform nations. Our vision is that believers from churches throughout the Pacific Northwest will come to join us in prayer for the salvation of the world. Our prayer room will always be open.

Pneuma Springs is also a place of training for cross-cultural missionaries. The critical need of this age is for missionaries who are well-trained in the Word of God, communicating the gospel intelligently and with power to peoples of all cultures.

We believe that everyone who comes to Pneuma Springs (Springs of the Spirit), whether missionaries in need of refreshment and renewal or Christians who need to meet the Lord for healing and empowerment, will be touched by the Spirit of God in a life-changing way.

All of the following AIIMs schools are housed in our new center: Discipleship Training School (DTS), New Korea Servant School, Jubilee School for Missionary Renewal, Mission Bible School , as well as Summer Missions Impact and other strategic programs.

About Our Area
Tourists come all year round, but our biggest influx is from late April til the end of September via cruise ships, airplanes and ferries. There are lots of recreational opportunities here including organized tours, hiking, kayacking, fishing, beach combing and more. There is a Rec Center with 2 pools, a sauna, exercise equipment, walking/jogging track, basketball and handball courts. We have an excellent library, museums and a movie theatre.

It rains 170 inches per year on average, and is often accompanied by wind, so a good raincoat with a hood are strongly recommended. An umbrella is generally useless.

Our vision is to equip, train and commission people of all ages whose passion for Jesus will impact the needy and make disciples in the cities of Northern California as well as unreached people groups and developing nations around the world. We do this through life-changing training schools, outreaches, youth ministries, and serving and partnering with the body of Christ.

Our beautiful location at Richardson Springs, outside of Chico, CA, is home to a thriving Youth With A Mission training center with approximately 50 full-time staff.

About Our Area
Located at the historic Richardson Springs, the hotel was opened in 1924. It hosted movie stars and Bay Area elite who came for a peaceful respite from city life and to enjoy the health spa atmosphere. Today, the gracefully designed hotel lobby welcomes you into a quieter time in our country's history.

Several mornings during the week our YWAM Chico community gather together to worship, hear a God inspired  messages from one of our Base Leadership Team members and spend time interceding for our city, state and world as God leads us.

We also have a wonderful coffee and gift shop where you can buy a delicious variety of coffee's, smoothies, snacks and apparel while relaxing and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

The area is crisscrossed with hiking trails. The Indian Lookout, the Crosses and the water falls and reservoir are popular destinations. This summer we will be running a week long evangelism camp that seeks to touch the hearts of the locals in the region as well as the many tourists passing through. In the fall we will be running a French language school, for those who feel God calling them to minister to the French speaking world, beginning at the end of September.

There is always a need for help with practical work, both indoors and outdoors, so we welcome any volunteers who would like to come to help in these preparations.

Ministry Description
We are located in Santiago de los Caballeros, the second largest city in the Dominican Republic, with a population of over a million people. As YWAM Santiago we work mainly with training and formation. With ministry experience in about fifty countries, we offer workshops, retreats, camps and courses with a focus on the development of children, youth, adults and families for life, leadership and missions.

We have a YWAM house in the city that we use for training, camps and for housing teams & volunteers. We also have a training camp in the countryside called NIKOLAND, one hour from Santiago in the Northern mountain range. It is a very rustic and refreshing place at almost 1000 m above sea level.

At Nikoland we run camps, host retreats and organize training events. Aside from thick brush we have a large building where meetings can be held, a sleeping cabin, a latrine, some fire pits and a beautiful view of the city of Santiago. From the road by Nikoland you can also see the north coast.

Ministry Description
Holmsted Manor is a mission-focused community, passionate about Jesus and about participating in God’s transformation of the world. A place to find belonging, we are committed to cultivating space for individuals to deepen their relationship with God and become more who they were created to be. Our goal is to see hope flourish as we serve together in our local, national and international communities.

In a beautiful 17-acre location in the West Sussex countryside, YWAM Holmsted Manor is strategically located not far from London, between the creative city of Brighton, and the multicultural town of Crawley, key locations where we do regular urban outreach. Living at Holmsted Manor means we often go out to get involved in other things. Nestled in a community of small villages, we actively look to partner with local churches, ministries and other community groups to make a difference in our immediate area. Currently, we have staff working in a local food bank, volunteering with ministries working with the vulnerable and singing in a local community choir.

Our staff also get involved in local churches with some of our staff team leading youth work, mission and outreach and preaching and speaking. We love to invite our local community to join us for some of our activities and there are at least one, and often two, community type activities every month – from barbeques to open mics.

We are looking for volunteers to join us to serve in a variety of tasks, people who are willing to work hard, have fun, and be part of our community in agreement with our values. You’re probably not an expert, but you’re ready to help out in any area (painting walls, chopping vegetables, cutting the grass, cleaning toilets, making beds, sewing, and much more). You will serve in various parts of the base with numerous opportunities to interact with our YWAMers and trainees at meal times, work and community events.

You don't have to have completed a DTS, or have any YWAM experience, but be willing to come and serve for a couple of months. You may want to improve your English before you do a DTS by being in a community of believers who speak English.

We want you to feel part of our YWAM family so we encourage our volunteers to participate in base gatherings and events such as worship, prayer and socials.  Please come with an open heart and a willingness to serve in whatever capacity needed.
