Ministry Description
YWAM Guadalajara’s mission is to transform nations through service and to be of influence in different spheres of society such as business, education, sports, arts and entertainment, media, family and the Church. We focus on training, discipleship, and reaching out to touch lives through evangelism, discipleship, medical assistance, community development, Bible teaching as well as our newest endeavor of establishing a k-12 school.

As a way to minister to the local church, YWAM Guadalajara rents the facilities at a minimal cost to the churches desiring to have their retreats, camps and other things in a place that is conducive for such things. This has opened the doors to work with many churches, not just in the Guadalajara area, but all across the country.

Some things short term teams can do is serve through evangelism, practical helps, mercy projects and building homes for poor families through our Homes of Hope program. (Since 1996, YWAM Guadalajara has worked with teams of volunteers to construct more than 138 houses for families living in situations of extreme poverty. The Homes of Hope program not only fills basic needs, but opens the way to start ministry and establish churches.)

YWAM Guadalajara is in constant need of technical skills and service with regard to our facilities. Volunteering your time and skills would help us meet the challenge of continued growth. Through our YWAM Volunteers or Mission Adventures programs you can come and serve for a few days, a couple weeks or months. Also, you can bring a group from your church and spend one or two weeks with us working in different areas, learning and knowing more about God, and also getting involved with ministries in the communities.

Homes of Hope: Teams may come and build a small home for a Mexican family. Preparation work for the home is done before the team arrives, which involves raising funds to build the home and to cover per person costs for transportation, room and board.
Personal Tools: You are most welcome to bring your own tools for the work. YWAM Chapala has some tools, however, any you bring will help as they could possibly have more than one team present at the same time.

Clothing for work site: Most people are working in jeans and t-shirts during the day. The weather is a little cool at night, so bring a jacket for the evenings and early mornings. During the day the temperature can climb into the 80s and the sun is out most days, so bring a hat!

About Our Area
For your leisure time on the weekends, there are numerous restaurants, open-air cafes and ice cream parlors to enjoy, where you can wile away the siesta-time. A walk around the town should include the parish church. On the pier, boatmen will try to convince you to visit Scorpion Island and its restaurants or to go to Mezcala Island and see the remains of a fortress dating from Independence times. East of the pier, past the well-kept lake shore gardens there is a small children's park.

On weekends, this area, like the lakefront Beer Garden restaurant near the pier, is a cacophony of mariachi sound. The Chapala handicrafts market is an excellent place to shop for inexpensive gifts. The Chapala Country Club, with its excellent nine-hole golf course, is open to non-members on payment of a green fee.

Ministry Description
YWAM Ozarks was pioneered in November 2003, and the present location atop Manitou Mountain was purchased in 2005. We as a YWAM community desire to make the Kingdom tangible by building & cherishing relationships, training students well, and working hard with our hands in an agricultural setting. Living in the middle of the “Bible Belt,” we try to find ways to demonstrate God’s amazing Kingdom, not just talk about it.

Our 66-acre campus provides much potential for developing AgTech initiatives. Currently we have expandable garden areas for crops and sustainable farming concepts. Our animal population includes pigs, chickens, goats, cows, bee hives and guinea hens. Additionally, we have an aquaponics system which currently is not functioning - unfortunately.

Community Development is a natural focus for our DTSs, called restore and transform DTS. The heart of this focus seeks God's desired transformation in us, then through us, so that we can be His conduits to transform communities. On-campus AgTech and similar projects equip students/staff with practical skills usable in the developing world. Cross-cultural outreaches aim to empower communities to find relevant solutions to existing problems, through the help and wisdom of the Holy Spirit.

We love the energy of youth. We run Mission Adventures to spark awareness and interest for missions involvement among high schoolers.

One other aspect of life at YWAM Ozarks: training in biblical studies. From the beginning of YWAM Ozarks we’ve emphasized the importance of studying and applying the Word. We offer the Inheritance Discipleship Bible School (iDBS) once each year. Students are immersed in the big picture story of the Bible and will be trained in leading Bible studies in their own unique settings.
Needs
Volunteer Wish-list for 2022:
1. We need help in trouble-shooting and mitigating leakage in our buildings due to rain. This may include minor siding and roof repair, caulking gaps, grading the landscape to redirect rainfall, and installing more gutters. One area could really use a French drain.
2. Because we have many acres, we have constant need for help in grounds-keeping. Practical help is always appreciated in weed-whacking, weeding, and cutting and baling hay.
3. We are looking for an individual or team with experience/expertise in solar installation.
4. Roofline repair on Admin Building. The roof was re-shingled 9 years ago, but recently we have noticed a sagging between trusses. This needs to be assessed and repaired by a skilled roofer.
5. The concrete pad at our dorm entrance has a large uneven crack which needs attention and repair. Some assessment and recommendations have been made, including concrete work, replacing support posts, and re-grading the gravel parking in front of it lot for better water flow. www.facebook.com/YWAMOzarks

Ministry Description
Our vision is to equip, train and commission people of all ages whose passion for Jesus will impact the needy and make disciples in the cities of Northern California as well as unreached people groups and developing nations around the world. We do this through life-changing training schools, outreaches, youth ministries, and serving and partnering with the body of Christ.

Our beautiful location at Richardson Springs, outside of Chico, CA, is home to a thriving Youth With A Mission training center with approximately 50 full-time staff.

We offer the following foundational schools:
The Discipleship Training School (DTS), every September and January or April for ages 18 - 30. Crossroads Discipleship Training School (CDTS), for those 30 and over, single and/or single with children, this school usually runs in September, and the Family Discipleship School (FDTS), for married couples with or without children. Our next FDTS will begin in September 2021, then again in April 2022.

We also offer this secondary school:
This fall, September 2021, we will offer the Chronological - Bible Core Course (C-BCC) which is a unique 3 month bible school w/ YWAM that allows you to study God's word in the order that the events happened!
We have goals of offering a broader span of schools as the Lord leads and prepares the way.

An active place year-round, YWAM Chico is a great place to volunteer. There are always maintenance and operations jobs to work on, so bring your skills (and your RV, if you have one). Join the fun for minimum of 2 weeks or a maximum of 3 months. We can use whatever skills you have to offer! Several of our buildings require extensive remodeling work as well as ongoing maintenance and there's plenty of painting needs year round. We also have need for a small engine mechanic, plumbers and carpenters.

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to serve. We have a variety of needs including kitchen, housekeeping, grounds and hospitality. Our biggest need is skilled plumbers, carpenters, masons and especially all around handymen. www.facebook.com/ywamchico

Ministry Description
At YWAM Barbados, God has blessed us with a historic plantation, which plays a role in bringing His glory and presence in Barbados and the Caribbean. God has shown us five areas of ministry we are to engage in.

1. House of Prayer: The vision is to see 24-hour worship and prayer arise from every island in the Caribbean. We have two prayer rooms on our campus, community prayer room and personal prayer room. Every week we meet together as a community and engage with God in a variety of ways such as singing, arts, intercession, communion and more. We would love for you to join us in these powerful times

2. Youth camps: The vision is to see hundreds of youth every year take part in camps that catch their attention and passions, using their gifts to build relationships and encounter Jesus. We have a youth village camp ground where we host several camps a year. Come take part in one of our camps and help guide our children and youth to walk with God.

3. Training schools: We want to train people in God's kingdom to become more effective in their walk with God. We will run several courses a year of different schools such as DTS (Discipleship Training School), Educating for Life courses, Agriculture workshops, Marriage Workshops, Prayer schools and more. Join one of our schools and be a part of a workshop.

About Our Area
The YWAM San Pedro campus is located in the Juan Dolio hotel district just 10 minutes outside of the town of San Pedro. Surrounded by hotels, restaurants, convenience stores and new construction, the campus is ideally located for teams and is just 30 minutes from the Santo Domingo airport. The 2,300 sq meter property has three villas surrounding a large pool and is used for housing teams, schools, staff as well as serving as an office location for coordinating the different programs that YWAM offers.

San Pedro de Macoris, located a 30 minute drive east of the Santo Domingo airport, was founded in the late 19th century by Cubans who were fleeing their country’s War of Independence. They brought their extensive sugar cane farming knowledge and contributed to making the sugar industry the most important economic activity in this area. The city reached its peak during the first quarter of the last century when sugar production enjoyed high prices on the international market as a result of the First World War.

Many Europeans settled here, creating a cosmopolitan urban center. A drop in sugar prices and destruction from Hurricane Georges in 1998 has seen the town fall into decline. Today San Pedro de Macorís is a city of approximately 200,000 inhabitants and is also known as being a source of players for U.S. major league baseball teams.

Ministry Description
University of the Nations, Kona, requires volunteers to complete their application process. To apply, goto https://kokuacrew.org/apply/

This is one of the largest U of N campuses in the world and exists to train and send out YWAM missionaries to serve in all spheres of society. University of the Nations, Kona campus is home to a diverse network of ministries that support YWAM's mission to "Know God and Make Him Known" through evangelistic endeavors, training and mercy ministries.

Founded on biblical principles, the University of the Nations (U of N) fulfills its commitment to Christ and His Great Commission by equipping men and women with spiritual, cultural, intellectual and professional training, and inspiring them to both continually grow in their personal relationship with God while also seeking to make Him known among all peoples in all nations. The U of N employs a modular system with 12 weeks of classroom coursework. Some courses require field internships or field assignments in their area of study.

Some of the distinct characteristics of the U of N include: a live-learn lifestyle, intensive modular courses and immediate field application, a creative atmosphere in the classroom, one-on-one contact between staff and students, cross-cultural and multi-cultural training, and “Multiplier for Missions”. The University seeks to broaden the scope of evangelistic endeavors by equipping students to serve in all spheres of society and in all nations, being both ‘salt’ and ‘light’ to the world (Matthew 5). To achieve this, we teach students to think biblically, discern spiritually and apply scriptural truth to every area of life. The U of N offers Associate’s degrees, Bachelor’s degrees, Graduate Diplomas and Master’s degrees from its seven faculties. These faculties are: Arts and Sports, Christian Ministries, Communication, Counseling and Health Care, Education, Humanities and International Studies, Science and Technology. At this time, approximately 15,000 students are taking one or more registered courses in 97 languages, across 142 nations, in 600 locations each year.

University of the Nations, Kona owes much of its growth and substance to the work of short-term volunteers who serve in a wide variety of practical ways. Mission Builders have played a major role in making the U of N Kona campus what it is today. They serve the Kona campus in many ways, assisting with everything from carpentry and maintenance to food services, grounds keeping and secretarial work. These wonderful volunteers have found it's a challenging and spiritually refreshing experience -- and a great way to make new friends from around the world.

Those volunteers who would be interested in serving in the kitchen, housekeeping, grounds and other general logistical areas need to be able to serve for a full quarter, as you will come onto the campus as a part of the Kokua Specialists team for orientation and begin volunteering at the start of the new school session, and stay through until the school session has finished. It’s a wonderful, challenging and rewarding location to serve for those who have the time and ability to invest three months into this growing and dynamic training campus.

Kona only has beds for 110 volunteers in their Mission Building housing and often are hosting 150 volunteers at a time, so you can understand the need for consistency through the entire quarter! Professional construction workers can apply to serve at Kona at any time and for any length of time you are available. We are also looking for volunteers who are willing to work in our kitchen, and if possible, who could make a one-year commitment.

You will have numerous opportunities to interact with our staff and students at meal times, work and community events and to enjoy worship and teaching weekly on Thursday evenings with the entire staff and student body. Your weekends are free to explore our island paradise.
Needs
If you still have a child in you and enjoy kids, this is the right place for you! We need help in our preschool.

If you like detailed work, sorting things, and if you are a diligent worker, then the Mailroom could be your workplace.

This location uses a separate application process. Arrival and departure dates are specific for this location, and you must be able to fulfill a full term to serve with YWAM Kona. For next dates of availability and for a link to the application for this location, go to https://kokuacrew.org/ www.facebook.com/ywamkona
