Ministry Description
There are many opportunities for service in lovely Brazil. YWAM Recife’s ministry focus is to Children at Risk, bringing comfort, food and medical treatment to children who have been abandoned by their families. Many survive the pain of their days through sniffing glue - a heartbreaking site to see children as young as six left to fend for themselves.

The YWAM campus in Recife is in a key location to work with a large population of the very poor and often desperate people and children. YWAM Recife’s street team reaches out to the many children who live on the streets. Their principle objective is to receive children who are not able to go home, for a trial period, where the team will be able to see their willingness to adapt to a schedule and then go on to the Hope House. The Hope House is our home for street boys between the ages of 10 – 14. The goal is to reintegrate these boys back into their families and society, when it is possible. We also have a home for girls called Sarah's house. The LOVE Project works with girls and women.

Volunteers of all skills are greatly needed throughout the year at Recife. On going projects: The YWAM base is located in the middle of a poor community and right next to a slum. Seeing the need to provide a safe and healthy environment, we began to construct a wall around the YWAM property--something not uncommon in Brazil. One of the projects volunteers can help with is the continued construction of this wall. Volunteers with a heart for children can work alongside the full time YWAM volunteers ministering in the school and to the street children.
Needs
We have various different areas to serve in. Since our main ministries are to children at risk and community projects these would be the most needed. We also have different practical areas to serve with. Our property is 30 acres and half of that is jungle so there is lots of maintenance to do. http://www.jocumrecife.org.br https://instagram.com/jocumrecife?utm_medium=copy_link

About Our Area
A book we highly recommend you read before you come is "Cry from the Streets" from YWAM Publishing. If you're interested, give us a call and we'll see about getting one to you. Brazil is the largest and most powerful country in South America. It accounts for approximately one half of the land in the South American continent, has tremendous natural resources, industrial bases, and has a population of just under 210 million. Unfortunately many of these people live in poverty and spiritual darkness. Recife is a large city located on the Atlantic coast in the Northeast. Brazil is also well known for having one of the world’s largest populations of "street kids." Want to know more about what Brazil has to offer? Ministry Description
We have 2 main branches of ministry: local ministry and performing arts.

For the local ministry, we run a food bank that serves the elderly-at-risk, underprivileged children and needy families in our area. We have several evening distributions of food and vegetables, we distribute food to the street sleepers and elderly cardboard scavengers and we also have interactive programs that we run for the elderly. We also have a campus ministry that we run at a nearby university during the school semesters.

Through our performing arts, we do performance outreaches and share the Gospel and run several training programs for performing arts and missions. During the months of July and August we run summer youth camps using performing arts and English for underprivileged kids. In the month of December, we have many different mercy and art outreaches.
Needs
We are at a crucial time in Hong Kong where the city needs the Gospel more than ever! We welcome you to come and bring God's love, hope and truth during this time.

We are looking for those that have a heart to serve the people of Asia and Hong Kong! You don't need any special skills to join. Areas of service include mercy ministry, food bank sorting & distribution, grocery shopping, food & goods pick ups, local outreach, campus ministry and food distribution to elderly-at-risk, cardboard collectors, street sleepers, and low-income families, and children's ministry. https://www.facebook.com/ywamhongkongtuenmun/ https://www.instagram.com/ywamtuenmun/

Our location is very convenient, being 10 minutes away from 6 beaches, grocery stores, ATM machines, malls and a wet market.

We have a meal program that provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the weekdays. We encourage all staff and Mission Builders to join for meals. Not only do we strive to make our meals healthy and delicious, but they help promote a sense of community. We have optional meals provided on the weekends.

Travel Arrangements and Documents
Hong Kong has a Vaccine Pass, which requires that travelers ages 12 and up have had 3 completed doses of a recognized vaccine in order to enter Hong Kong. The list of accepted vaccines is here: https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/pdf/list_of_recognised_covid19_vaccines.pdf.

For people previously infected with COVID-19, they will need to have had at least 1 dose of an accepted vaccine at least 14 days before traveling to Hong Kong.

Currently, travelers will need to take a RAT test 24 hours before departure, along with a PCR test upon arrival at the airport. For the first 7 days, travelers need to take a RAT test, along with an additional PCR test on day 2.

Hong Kong also mandates the wearing of masks in public spaces, with the exception of strenuous exercise.

From the airport, we are easily reachable by public transport. We are an hour bus ride from the airport or 20 minutes by driving.

We would need a copy of your passport. Because of strict visa restrictions, we are unable to receive people from certain countries in Africa.

El Paso, Texas and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, are located in the Chihuahuan Desert. The climate conditions are very dry and often hot in the summer and very cold in the winter.

Both cities have a wide variety of great restaurants, and Juarez is known for the "Equis" which is a giant red X, known for hosting many different festivals and events.

Ministry Description
Our story begins with the passion we have in our hearts for Jesus and that He might be worshiped among the nations. Each generation has the responsibility and the privilege of responding to Christ’s Great Commission to “GO” and bring the gospel to the nations in their generation.

In 2006 a team of 6 was sent out from YWAM Pittsburgh with prayers and affirmation to begin a new work in Boston. It was an exciting challenge to plant a missionary outreach and training center in this city. Since then, the team has grown to 24 staff and now has a multi-focused ministry to the people of Boston, New England, and to the nations.

It has been so inspiring to meet pastors and leaders here in Boston who have been diligently working to further the kingdom here. We have established some wonderful relationships with strategic churches and believers. We have ministered in youth groups, church services, and Christian school assemblies. Weekly outreaches using “prayer stations”, worship music, and free coffee on the city streets have been very successful, with hundreds hearing about Jesus Christ, many for the first time.

From its founding in 1630, Boston has been a city of historic significance. The founding fathers laid the foundations for this city to be a beacon for His glory, with a sense of destiny that believers here would influence our nation as well as all the nations. Today, Boston is one of the most significant and strategic cities in the world. With its 100+ colleges and universities, Boston is a place where the world gathers. 250,000 university students (44,000 of which are international) are drawn to our institutions of higher learning. The very people we are called to go and reach have come to us.

Ministry Description
We are located in Santiago de los Caballeros, the second largest city in the Dominican Republic, with a population of over a million people. Our vision is to see the reality and relevance of Christianity transform lives and impact communities as we disciple and equip people for life, leadership and missions.

As YWAM Santiago we work mainly with training and formation. With ministry experience in about fifty countries, we offer workshops, retreats, camps and courses with a focus on the development of children, youth, adults and families for life, leadership and missions.

We have a YWAM house in the city that we use for training, camps and for housing teams & volunteers. We also have a training camp in the countryside called NIKOLAND, one hour from Santiago in the Northern mountain range. It is a very rustic and refreshing place at almost 1000 m above sea level.

At Nikoland we run camps, host retreats and organize training events. Aside from thick brush we have a large building where meetings can be held, a sleeping cabin, a latrine, some fire pits and a beautiful view of the city of Santiago. From the road by Nikoland you can also see the north coast.

Ministry Description
YWAM Nordland is here to serve those around us. Below are several ways we work to contribute to our community and society as a whole.

Youth Work
One of our main focus is to invest in children and youth. A safe atmosphere allows them to be themselves and make good friends. We do this through camps and youth clubs in the community.

Local Ministry
We involve ourselves in our village and nearby communities by helping in schools, doing practical work, helping with events and encouraging local Christians who might be the only ones in their area.

Café Nordlys
In October 2020, we opened a café to serve our neighbours. The name of our café means "Northern Lights". We want people to see God in a new light and be awestruck by who He is. Our goal is to build relationships and create a place that brings life to our village.
Needs
We are looking for people with skills to help us with renovations and people willing to do practical work. Anybody enjoying garden and landscaping work is also welcome to join us during the Summer time. https://www.facebook.com/ywamnordland https://www.instagram.com/ywamnordland/

About Our Area
YWAM Nordland is situated in a quaint little village, Røsvik, in Northern Norway. We are next to many national parks and a few hours from the famous Lofoten islands with their typical fishing villages, deep fjords and tall peaks. The county of Nordland is well-known for its surrounding natural scenery with steep mountains climbing straight from the ocean.

Because we are located in the Arctic Circle, during the summer, the sun is up 24/7 - phenomenon best known as midnight sun. The winter gets very dark which makes it the perfect time to experience the Northern Lights!
RV Info
Driving to YWAM Nordland is easy, due the possible usage of the known European route E6, which runs through Norway. To get to our base you only drive a 20 min ride a little north of Fauske. Driving in wintertime is not recommended. Summertime is a common time to travel with RV in northern Norway, and provides great scenery.

Ministry Description
We are a group of people dedicated to seeing the Kingdom of God transform every sphere of society (education, family, business, government, media, arts & entertainment, and the church) beginning in our own community of Keyser, as well as training others to be agents of Biblical transformation locally and internationally.

Here in West Virginia, we are called to re-dig ancient wells and build upon the spiritual history of Keyser and the surrounding areas in order to see people released to build bridges to the nations.

We are involved in a variety of ministries. We host a local community youth group at the YWAM Center once a week as well as help facilitate other local youth groups.  We're involved with the education system from the elementary level all the way up through to the community college here in our city. We help run the "WyldLife" program at the middle school, Fellowship of Christian Athletes at the high school, and Crew at the college. We regularly meet to pray with local business owners and government officials. There are many other local ministries we partner with as well.  Our heart is to see community transformation take place here in our city.

We want to see God's Kingdom come here, and for God's will to be done in Keyser as it is in Heaven.
Needs
We happily welcome volunteers and have many areas you can serve in!

We've recently started a new ministry called "Classic Foundations". It's a homeschool co-operative that functions 4 days a week, "cottage style". We are requesting more volunteers with early childhood education experience. Currently we have grades K-2, and we're going to expand a grade each year. https://www.facebook.com/ywam.westvirginia/ https://www.instagram.com/ywamwestvirginia/

If you have any specific skills such as photography/videography or any other training we may be able to allow you to work on our communications team or another department, but this is not the norm.

  • 9:30am-12:30pm: work hours
  • 12:30pm-1:30pm: lunch
  • 1:30pm-5pm: work hours
  • 5:30pm: dinner

(*note: most mornings we have campus wide activities e.g. worship and intercessory prayer).
